Coronavirus disease/ COVID-19 Update

Dear Residents, Family Members and Guests,

*This article is for informational purposes only. Renaissance Villages is not a provider or administer of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna Coronavirus Vaccine to the public.

Renaissance Villages would like to take a moment to share what we are doing in response to the global coronavirus/COVID-19 situation. We are monitoring the situation closely, and following CDC and health department recommendations.

As you know, the number of cases remains low. However, we are still taking precautions in the event the coronavirus becomes more widespread. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has shared with the public that more cases are likely. As a result, it is possible our communities could be impacted.

Furthermore, we've based our response and preparation on recommendations from the CDC and local public health departments. Precautions we are taking currently include:

coronavirus

Coronavirus Precautions We're Taking:

  • Visitors

We are asking all visitors not to visit the community if they have, or were exposed to someone with, symptoms or respiratory illness. Hand sanitizer is available at entrances and throughout the community. We are not prohibiting visitors at this time. However, we ask everyone to limit the frequency of visits and the number of visitors to what is necessary. We are limiting the number of visiting group activities and resident outings.

  • Hand Hygiene

All staff are practicing frequent hand hygiene as part of our normal infection control practices. Please do so by using hand sanitizer or soap and water. We are asking and reminding residents and visitors to do the same.

  • Respiratory Hygiene

We are reminding everyone to practice good respiratory hygiene/cough etiquette.

  • Please cover your mouth and nose with a flexed elbow or tissue when coughing and sneezing. Throw away the used tissue immediately. In addition, please wash your hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand rub.

  • Please maintain social distance – If possible, keep a distance of 3 feet between yourself and someone who is coughing, sneezing or has a fever.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth – Hands touch many surfaces which can be contaminated with the virus. If you touch your eyes, nose or mouth with your unclean hands, you can transfer the virus from the surface to yourself.

  • Environmental Cleaning

We are routinely cleaning frequently touched surfaces, such as doorknobs light switches, countertops, and other common/public areas.

  • Supplies & Protective Equipment

While some supplies are sold out or are currently in production, we are using all of our resources to have any and all personal protective equipment available to our staff and visitors as needed. This includes gloves, masks, disinfecting supplies and hand hygiene supplies.

Furthermore. we will continue to monitor this situation and keep you informed.  Finally, we thank you in advance for your corporation with the precautions we have implemented.
