Renaissance Village Murrieta is kicking off the new year partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association’s California Southland Chapter to offer you another three-part series. The Caring for Someone with Mid-Stage Alzheimer’s is an excellent series for those who are serving as a hands-on caregiver for their loved one. In this three-part series, you will hear from caregivers and professionals alike. We’ll address helpful strategies to provide safe, comfortable, and effective care for those in the middle stage of Alzheimer’s.
The three-part series will take place on the second Friday of February, March, and April 2019 at Renaissance Village Murrieta. These workshops are completely free and open to the public, so be sure to RSVP as space is limited.

Part 1: Friday, February 8, 2019 | 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
This seminar will provide information on symptoms associated with the middle stage of Alzheimer’s disease, communication, and relationship changes. It also covers effective ways to provide personal care and preparing for hospitalizations.
Part 2: Friday, March 8, 2019 | 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
This seminar will provide information on an effective way to manage behaviors and how to maximize safety at home. It also covers signs to look for regarding unsafe driving and tips to stop driving. Additionally, we’ll discuss preparing for and preventing wandering in your loved one.
Part 3: Friday, April 12, 2019 | 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
This seminar will provide information on respite care options, which includes informal care, day services, in-home care services, and senior living options. It also covers managing and coping with difficult feelings of Mid-Stage Alzheimer’s.
