Employee of the Month: Corrine P., Cooking Staff
Corrine Poigent is one of the cooks in our kitchen. She’s a great employee and cook, and has a myriad of culinary experience.
Corrine studied culinary at Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon where she received her Diploma of Culinary Arts with Honors in Culinary. She also has ServSafe and Lead Certification.
Her roots to the Southern California area run deep, as she’s served in several different positions in the Murrieta, Temecula and San Diego areas over the last 10 years. Her accomplishments showcase her eye for creating delicious and original food and her resourcefulness in helping any kitchen run efficiently.
Southern California Roots
Corrine was the Executive Chef for Ponte Family Estate Winery. She operated their outdoor café, special event pavilion, 100 seat barrel room & VIP room. She created a new menu to reflect the wine country atmosphere for the restaurant and banquets while streamlining food production.
Corrine was also the Executive Chef for the Radisson Hotel in San Diego, CA. She regularly worked to change the restaurant and banquet menus to reflect national and seasonal trends to provide customers with delicious food options.
Corrine was a consultant for the Restaurant Development Corporation in developing the restaurant Taqueria Chispa in San Marcos, CA. She worked with RDC to put together a successful new style Mexican restaurant. She hired and trained kitchen and Front Of House staff, and also started a draft beer program for the restaurant.
Corrine also worked as the Kitchen Manager for Farmstead Market and as an Independent Contractor for CRM Fresh Inc. at the Carlsbad Ranch Market. Each position shows her dedication to great customer service and providing patrons with delicious and high-quality food options.
