Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Family Education Series

We’re proud to share our Memory Care Villa is open! We are giving care for those with alzheimer’s disease and dementia. As a result, we also know there is a great need for tools, info and support for families. So, we are thrilled that we share our idea for the new year.
We are partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association’s California Southland Chapter. In doing so, we bring to you a Family Education Series. Basically, you will get education, practical guidance and tools for dementia caregiving.

Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Series

The Basics
The first event takes place on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 11 am to 12 pm. Topics include detection, causes, risk factors, stages and alzheimer’s disease treatment.
Communication Strategies
The second seminar takes place on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 11 am to 12 pm. Attendees will learn how to decode behaviors and verbal messages from one with dementia. We’ll also identify tips to help caregivers talk and connect at each stage of the disease.
Understanding and Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior
The third and final event takes place on Friday, March 9 from 11 am to 12 pm. You will learn about the triggers of behaviors tied to dementia. Also, how to assess the needs.

In conclusion, each event will be held at our Murrieta Location: 24271 Jackson Ave. Murrieta, CA 92562. The Alzheimer’s Association’s California Southland Chapter will also present each seminar topic. Most noteworthy, this event is free and open to the public.
